You will be a dynamic, resilient, self-starter to join the ba.com team at our Waterside offices near Heathrow. By using your analytical ability, on-line experience, strong commercial as well as technical skills you will help to draw business insights from key web analytics implementation. To be ideally suited for this role, you will need to be a team player with good communication skills and have a strong data background with exploitation experience.

The role

As a Visual Science Web Analytics Analyst within British Airways you will play a central role in designing, and developing online tracking solutions to steer the continuing development of a robust, scaleable web analytics architecture to best meet the organisational needs.

Key responsibilities will include:
·Providing commercial decision support, and making recommendations based on data analysis and interpretation for local and overseas projects.
·Providing a central source of expertise of online data and its application within British Airways, leading user groups and facilitating knowledge sharing workshops.
·Timely delivery of accurate, relevant data and reports to meet multiple deadlines.

What you need

We’re looking for someone who has:

·An interest in and knowledge of the airline industry.
·A strong market awareness, both in terms of commercial issues as well as best practices and standards.
·Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships cross functionally and at all levels.
·Ability to interpret and apply web analytics terminology to business problems.
·Hands-on experience of web analytics tools (including Visual Sciences)
·Track record of delivering detailed commercial analysis and interpretation.
·A data warehousing background and/or experience in the management and interpretation of data structures.
·Knowledge of data extraction and exploitation systems.
·Experience in HTTP client/server interaction as well as log parsing tools and regular expressions.
·Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK
